Bio
Professor Tina Hwang is a seasoned technology legal executive with deep expertise at the intersection of innovation, risk, and regulation. She currently serves as Head of Legal at ClassDojo, where she advises on legal and compliance strategy in support of the company’s mission to reimagine education for kids and families. She previously held senior leadership roles including Chief Privacy Officer and VP Legal at Ancestry, VP and Deputy General Counsel at Twitter, and Senior Director and Associate General Counsel at WhatsApp/Meta. She also spent nearly a decade at Google, where she led legal teams supporting products such as Google Fiber and Google Shopping.
Tina graduated magna cum laude from UC Law and holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University.
