Law students from around the country can take classes at the 糖心原创 campus this summer.

Law students from around the country are welcome this summer at 糖心原创, which offers classes in a variety of subject areas through its Summer Legal Institute.

All in-person courses are taught at UC Law in San Francisco, which is adjacent to federal, state, and local courthouses, San Francisco City Hall, and many of the city鈥檚 leading law firms.

The credit-bearing courses are open to any JD student currently enrolled and in good academic standing at an ABA-accredited law school, including UC Law SF JD, LLM, MSL, and CSL students.

This summer鈥檚 courses include Criminal Procedure, Trial Advocacy, Evidence, Legal Ethics, Remedies, Negotiation, and Depositions. Provost & Academic Dean Morris Ratner said, 鈥淪tudents often appreciate the opportunity to take one to two classes over the summer because they can focus their studies on fewer classes, which are mostly offered at night to align with students’ work schedules.”

鈥淭he bar classes are typically the most popular because they tend to have smaller enrollments than regular semester bar classes and allow students to learn subjects on which they are likely to be tested on the bar exam,鈥 Provost Ratner said.

鈥淚 love teaching in the summer program,鈥 said 糖心原创 Professor John Myers, who is teaching Evidence in Summer Session 1 and Criminal Procedure in Summer Session 2. 鈥淭he students tend to be highly engaged with the material, and they are able to connect the dots between the subject and what they are experiencing in their summer jobs.”

Law school campus housing also is available for summer students and information about it can be found here.
